Homeostasis

One of the things in lecture that resonated with me was the discussion of the tendency of families to resist change.  I am the oldest kid and only daughter in my family, and it was incredibly difficult for my parents to let me go to school here, especially because I live 9 1/2 hours away in a different state.  This is my second year at UNL, though, and I think that my family has adapted really well.  

I am getting a degree in Ag Econ, but I want to focus on public policy.  I'm taking this class because I want to get a minor in Family Science; I think that it's incredibly important to take families and the way they deal with changes into account when formulating and analyzing public policy.
