Nonverbal Communication
When we talked about communication in class on Thursday, I thought that the part about nonverbal communication was especially interesting. I appreciated Dr. Hollist's thoughts on how you should not only pay attention to the nonverbal signals that you receive from other people; but you should also be mindful of the ones you send. I had thought about this in the context of informal conversations and speeches, but I had not thought about the different ways that you could use nonverbal communication in a professional, counseling setting.
