I completely agree that communication is one of the most basic building blocks of any relationship. The smallest miscommunication can lead to large problems that have no apparent root to one partner and all the meaning in the world to the other.
My family (mostly my father) is horrible at communicating ideas or plans to the family (as was his father) and it can make MAKING plans very difficult to do.
